Nell Cannady Honrine, 76, of 1320 Five Bridge Road, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Funeral will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, January 4th at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John Hobbs officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hours before the service at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Melinda at 1052 Bass Lake Road, Roseboro. 

Nell was born May 25, 1947 in Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Franklin Cannady and Ozelle Porter Cannady.  She was a homemaker and a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Thomas Garrett Faircloth and siblings Edna Sinclair, Hilda Brown, Margaret Crumpler and Leonidas Cannady. 

Survivors include; daughters, Cindy Honrine and Melinda Honrine;  son, Thomas Honrine; grandchildren, Lauren King, Jordan Faircloth, Jayla  and Jamison Honrine; great-grandchildren, Emma and Hayes Hargrove, Harlow James and Tristan Hayes; brother, Roy Cannady (Jewel); and sister, Helen Barnes.

Memorials may be made to Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1481 Fleet Cooper Road, Roseboro, NC  28382.
